In winter Seattle & Portland are subject to bad weather (Seattle crosses a mountain pass & Portland goes along the Columbia River, which freezing mists & has lots of fog.)

Portland to Pasco- 3 ½+ hours;
Spokane to Pasco- 2 1/4 hours. (Best choice-no mountain passes)
